Ida is not your average nurse-turned-entrepreneur. With a Master’s in Health Informatics and years of clinical and consulting experience, she decided to take on a mission bigger than charting late-night patient notes: helping physicians reclaim their sanity (and maybe even a weekend off).
When she’s not leading a team of razor-sharp Virtual Medical Assistants, Ida is happily embracing her newest role as grandma, planning adventures to places most people only see in documentaries—like Antarctica, the Arctic, Bhutan, Nepal, and hopping aboard the legendary Trans-Siberian Train. (Her goal is to conquer these before turning 60, because why not?)
Her superpowers include:
- Translating medical chaos into smooth, efficient workflows.
- Teaching providers that yes, work-life balance actually exists.
- Giving grandma-level hugs one minute and corporate-level strategy the next.

Jose Gonzalez, MD
Medical Director • Psychiatrist
Dr. Jose Gonzalez is a distinguished psychiatrist whose career spans the full spectrum of mental health care—from foundational psychiatric training to specialized forensic practice. He is widely recognized for his clinical excellence, administrative leadership, and unwavering commitment to comprehensive, compassionate patient care.
His passion for psychiatry began at just 14 years old, when he immersed himself in the works of Sigmund Freud. That early intellectual curiosity was later nurtured through direct psychoanalytic education, including lectures from Anna Freud, daughter of the founder of psychoanalysis.
Dr. Gonzalez has made groundbreaking contributions to the field, where he worked directly with Dr. Lawrence Kolb, a pioneer in conceptualizing Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. He has led substance abuse clinics as medical director, set gold-standard treatment protocols, cared for geriatric patients with compassion, and brought his specialized expertise to the field of forensic psychiatry.
Recognizing the strain physicians face in balancing quality care with heavy administrative burdens, Dr. Gonzalez was inspired to partner with CareIQ Assist. He has been instrumental in developing innovative training manuals and strategies designed to streamline workflows. His mission is clear: to help practitioners escape being “bogged down by paperwork” so they can reclaim precious time for what matters most—caring for their patients.
Dawn Riley-Vaughn

Our multitasking powerhouse who keeps CareIQ Assist running smoothly. By day, she’s our Administrative Assistant; and in between, she’s tackling nursing school like it’s just another casual side quest.
Her true boss, though, is a tiny 3-month-old named Katherine, who already knows how to command attention better than any CEO.
When Dawn isn’t balancing spreadsheets, textbooks, and bottles, she’s daydreaming of travel adventures or her ultimate goal—owning a horse farm (because every queen deserves a stable).
At CareIQ Assist, Dawn brings her organization skills, sharp eye for detail, and just enough wit to prove that yes—you really can do it all, as long as you have coffee, a baby monitor, and maybe a horse waiting at the finish line.
